THE FIRST EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP FOR MOBILE CRANE OPERATORS WAS HELD AT MAXPO 2025!

The first-ever Golden Crane Competition — the European Championship for mobile crane operators — was held at the Maxpo exhibition, where 30 top drivers competed against each other. The competition featured 32 Finnish and 16 international competitors. The winner was Veikko Tapio (Havator Suomi) with a time of 15:26 minutes. Silver went to Teemu Pirttimaa (Nostopalvelu J. Helaakoski Oy), and bronze to Mikko Laaksole (Havator Suomi)!

This new championship-level competition tested crane operators’ skill and speed across two cranes and two courses. The main prize was a week-long trip to the Conexpo exhibition in Las Vegas.

The new Golden Crane Competition was organised by INFRA ry’s Mobile Crane and Special Transport Division, in cooperation with Forssa Vocational College. The division works closely with the European crane organisation ESTA, and this collaboration made it possible to hold the European Championship.en.
